Awisto
Halfrauds Pro Series, come with a lifetime warranty Seconded, then buy some 6 point sockets for the set as the Halfords multi points will give your rusty jap nuts a hard time.

HadeS
Well I have source mine from allegro.pl which is something like ebay. There is 5 diffrent people selling "similar" boxes. Why similar? Say you want to open a little buissnes. You going down to China or Tiwan. You asking for socket set. Tels what color you want and what amount. That why I said I have got similiar. They all probably been made in the same place anyway. I'm very happy with mines. Will post link to set what I have got.

Have a look on pics. Price is nearly the same.
SUPRALOOPY
That halfords set is the nuts for the DIY'er
supra steveo
shame you are over wales , ive got a Halfords trade card
monsween
Yea find someone with a trade card, hell of a lot cheaper for tools. I tend to buy most halfords products up here lol
DodgyRog
Halford's pro set for me:thumbs: too
Konrad
Another one for halfords pro set, you can get it for around 90 pounds if you have trade card and lifetime warranty is nice addition. I'm using this in my garage and everything survived 2 years of heavy usage. Only thing I had to change was 2 star tip sockets (changed without any question asked). stevie_b
The problem I see with the ebay one is the lack of a 3/8" ratchet. Quite often a 1/4" is too weedy and a 1/2" is too chunky to get to the awkward areas. I'd also suggest the Halfords set. Expensive for a DIYer but you'll probably never need to buy that stuff again. Digsy
Seconded, then buy some 6 point sockets for the set as the Halfords multi points will give your rusty jap nuts a hard time. I'd never bother buying a 12-point socket again. Full hex is the only way to go if you value your nuts! ;-)
TLicense
The only problem with the Halfords lifetime guarantee, at least with my local store, is that they will only replace items if you have the receipt. So unless you're going to keep all the receipts for your tools in a safe, for your entire lifetime, it's next to useless. However, still extremely good quality tools for the money though. I broke one of my sockets so dug out the receipt (2 or 3 years old) only to find that the carbon had come off it and it was now just a blank piece of paper! However, I still took it with me and explained the situation and they were happy to replace it for me.
Scott
Britool are crap, I break them all the time in work. Go with the halfords pro series, they are decent sockets and if you break them you get a replacement. Put the reciept in a little plastic wallet and tape it to the socket set though, some stores are funny about handing out replacements without it. Snapon stuff is generally quite good, expensive though. The best stuff I have used bar none is king dick. I'm yet to break one of those spanners or sockets. Chris Wilson
I'd never bother buying a 12-point socket again. Full hex is the only way to go if you value your nuts! ;-) Without bi hex sockets you'll struggle with some of the better fasteners, like many ARP nuts, for example I couldn't imagine a day without 12 point sockets, most jobs would just stop here. Chris Wilson
Stahlwille or Facom sometime come up on Ebay for decent money. Both are at least the equal of Snap On.
Kevin Huntley
I would recomend the Sealey socket sets, come in red metal case. Bought a 1/4 and 1/2 socket sets and have not managed to break any parts despite pretty heavy use. You can buy them new on Ebay for pretty decent money.
