Kazuma
Hi guys, just been to look at a Supra N/A today. Got a question for you all... Does a Supra need to be hooked up to a computer for anything? I know that is quite vague and could relate to numerous things, but just want to confirm.. Sometimes dealers hook cars up and change various, don't ask me what though! Many thanks
JustGav
The pre-vvti doesn't offer anything VVTI's do provide info but not many readers capable of reading it without the right cable as it runs a not so common protocol.

Kazuma
It was just a question my wife asked me and I didn't know the answer. It's a L plate supra. It also has what I can only describe as a touch screen unit where the radio would sit. I was told i would need purchase a module of some sort to use it as a sat nav... When did the vvti models come in then?
Terminator
If you are asking, can anything on the ECU be alter via a computer? then the answer is the ECU's in both TT and NA can not be reprogrammed. As for the touch screen, this is non standard, so your would have to identify make, model s/number etc to a, identify it and b, to see if it can be used for SAT NAV in the UK
Scott
Are you sure it is a computer and not just a touch screen sat-nav unit? It is very possible that it came from Japan with it, and as such is programmed with the Japan maps etc. The radio on it will need a module to work in the UK.
