Dave17
Hello Folk, Got this sticker on my spark cover, any idea what it means? I'm hoping it means cambelt done on x km's. Cheers
martini
It's upside down for a start It says: Replacement year, month, day: 18 year, 8th Month, 6th day So that's the 6th August 2006. (Japanese year 2010 is Heisei 22) Meter reading kilometres gone: 98890 Km
martini
Or, more simply... The belt (you're using) was installed on Aug 26 2006. Your car had run over 98900 km at that point.

Suprab1
Ahhhh awesome, thankyou sir, so done about 4 years ago and doesnt need doing for another 100k. Where did you learn Japanese? I wouldn't wait another 100k to get it done. I always do mine every 5 years regardless of mileage. Also i always do a full kit not just the belt. Better to be safe than sorry . martini
Ahhhh awesome, thankyou sir, so done about 4 years ago and doesnt need doing for another 100k. You're welcome! Where did you learn Japanese? I was self-taught for about 9 months and then I did an AS level. It was supposed to be the A-level but couldn't finish due to work commitments. I'll be starting up again in October
Dave17
It's just had a service, Mr T said something like £450 for a new belt and 2 pulleys. Quite what he mean't by pulleys i'm not sure as he couldnt tell me what they were....I'm guessing he mean't the tensioner? Self taught...bloody hell, that's some skill you've got there mate. I think the kit i get has belt, tensioner & pulleys. Ask some of the traders on here for a price on a full kit. It's been about 3 years since mine was done but it was cheaper than that & we're € over here.
