Internal lights out...

Last night I discovered neither of my internal lights nor the light behind the aircon temp dial are working.

I was going to check fuses and bulbs today but got floored by a migraine so to pre-emt, does anyone know if those buggers are linked to a single fuse?

Yup, I'm talking about the internal lights on the roof (come on when doors open). I think the right one has been out for a while but now both so I'm guessing its the bulb on those and the heater control.

I've no problem removing the dash panels, they've been off more than on since I bought the car installing various upgrades :)

Can anyone tell me what bulbs I need to buy for the roof lights and the heater temp control?

I have the part number for the heater control bulbs in the garage. I will get it in the morning.

To change the heater control bulbs you will need to solder in new LED's.

Why do you think that?

They are just a little green bulb with a gray back & you twist them in & out with long nose pliers.

There are a few screw in bulbs, but most are soldered. Take a look here: http://www.internetwork.org.uk/led_guide/led.htm and scroll down to "Heating Controls".

No mate that is only for the LED conversion. Stock toyota bulbs just twist in.

I've had the control apart and suprab1 is correct. It's just a slip in bulb which then wires around the little holder and slots back into the bulb hole. No soldering required on that.

Part code would be great for the bulb, cheers :)

Hi mate the part number is 84999-70009.

There is 5 of these bulbs in the heater control unit so just make sure everything else is lighting up.

There is 1 for fan control, 1 for temp control & 3 in behind the buttons to light them.
