DiCaprio is in good movies (Blood Diamond, The Beach & Catch me if you Can).

Also, I think Steve Martin and Jack Black are good.

All time favourite is John Candy though.

I'll back you up with DiCaprio hes very underated!! Fantastic actor..

Regarding my faves and least.. there to many. If i chose to buy a new film id always be happy to have Adam Sandler in it.

I think all actors have there good points and bad points. Even some film will make an actor look terriable due to a terriable script!

Adam Sandler is class. Not the best actor but bloody funny. I have watched "The Longest Yard" ten times in the last fortnight....:D

I have always liked Tom Cruise as an actor, always seems to fit the role well.

There's actor I just can't stand, don't know his name though and not really interested in knowing it. He used to play a detective in the bill, now he is in some rubbish "where there's a blame there's a claim" type ad, he was also in Essex boys (an excellent film otherwise) and I think he's been in a couple more of that type of film, "rise of the foot soldier" maybe. Anyway he is crap and unconvincing as the thug, gangster he is always portrayed to be.

I know who you mean, funny thing is he is or was actually a thug and gangster very well connected and always with the 'old' crew.

Apparently not someone to piss off, so my friends in low places tell me.;)

A lot of the actors i think are great have been mentioned, esp clint eastwood in those old spaghetti westerns.

I also rate Clive Owen in Inside Man and Denzel Washington in the same film plus Man of Fire and Deja vue.

No, right in MY opinion, wrong in yours ;)

You're right in 1 aspect, a couple of them in whole arent that great, thats why i wrote the movie i liked them in.

Yeah, but there's your opinion that Kevin Spacey isn't a good actor, and then there's every single other person in the world who has seen him act, and they all think he's a good actor. Of course there's also his 2 Oscars and his Bafta to consider.

Mind you, he does walk his dog awfully late at night.

How can anyone not say Kevin Spacey is not a good actor after American Beauty and LA Confidential??

Bill Murray!

It all depends on what type of films your into really

For me the best ones are:

1. Gerald Butler ( Law Abiding Citizen)

2. Brad Pitt ( Snatch , again)

3. Jack Nicholson ( The Bucket List)

4. Morgan Freeman ( The Bucket List)

5. Jonah Hill ( Only for Superbad though)

6. Johnny Depp ( Pirates and Blow)

7. Mike Myers ( Austin Powers Trilogy, legendary)

8. Jason Statham ( Most of his films are a good watch)

9. The Wynan Twins ( White Chicks :D)

10. Didier Drogba ( Diving on a regular basis!)

Bad:

1. Vin Diesel

2. Eddie Murphy ( seems to have gone off the boil alot)

My minds gone numb! :D

I'll update when i've had some time to think.

for me - Jeff Goldblum is the worst actor ever.

Those pauses he randomly inserts into his speech and over exaggerated hand gestures really get on my nerves.

Oh you must have seen top gear yesterday:)

He was great in the fly and into the night, bet not many remember that!

Dude, blimey you are spot on. Look at this!

So I am not going to tell him that he can't act, in fact I think he's great....and what's more his daughter was in Dexter and seem to remember she was fine too, fine actress I mean of course.

Here are my lists... I'm only listing 'serious' actors.. I'm not busting out Adam Sandler or Steven Segal.. they do what they do, but it's not 'acting' (lovey, dahling) :)

Best

  • Robert De Niro
  • Al Pacino
  • Robert Duvall
  • Gary Oldman
  • Dennis Hopper
  • Ray Winstone
  • Dustin Hoffman
  • Marlon Brando
  • Brad Pitt
  • Ed Norton
  • Tim Roth
  • Harvey Keitel
  • Steve Buscemi
  • Christopher Walken
  • Jack Nicholson

Worst

  • Leonardo DiCaprio (two modes of acting; charming and 'shouty')
  • Daniel Day Lewis (completely one dimensional)
  • Tom Hanks (the same amiable 'everyday bloke' act in every film)
  • Russell Crowe (just awful)
  • Denzel Washington (I hate to say it but he just plays the same part in every film too... he's never impressed me)

Best in no particular order:

Samuel Jackson

Denzel Washington

Tim Robbins

Edward Norton

Tom Hanks

Robin Williams

Al Pacino

Robert De Niro

Gene Hackman

Ethan Hawke

Matt Damon is getting there..

Leonardo Di Caprio is also getting there.

Worst:

Nicolas Cage has unfortunately just gone downhill

Brad Pitt - The David Beckham of the film industry (that will rattle some cages :D)

Keanu Reeves - wooden actor

Steven Seagal - needs no introduction lol

Jackie Chan (great stunt man, terrible actor sorry)

These last 2 could never be taken seriously as contenders for actors;

Ben Stiller

Adam Sandler

Just my opinion ;)
