what are you doing with your stock stuff? keeping it for MOT ?

have you had a restrictor fitted already to prevent boost creep/over boosting?

Whoops this has gone of subject.

Without a doubt you will hear me coming.

I have kept all the stock stuff, hopefully just the middle CAT will be required for the emmisions test.

I am expecting i will need a restrictor but then each car can be different, i may only hit 1.2 bar, will have to keep an eye on things.

umm, doesnt that mod like SERIOUSLY screw about with an import's revs? like revving up to 5000rpm and back down as soon as you start it? Or is that a different mod?

Remember anything that talks about modifying for performance in the US may have a different effect on an import due to different air flow sensors and different ECUs.

Chris,

Jap-spec 93/94 Supras don't have to pass the full MOT emissions test, as the model number isn't on the emissions database. My Supra is a 94 L Reg with no cats in. It passed the MOT fine and the tester even phoned the MOT hotline just to be sure. I think the legal limit of CO is 0.3%. My car was 0.6%.

James,

I have read about this before on this BBS but though some people were still getting trouble from test stations.

My log book has the test limits printed on it. I assume these were applicable to my car.

So the cats must have been fitted for the Japanese market but not applicable in the UK for those years 93/94.

Thanks for the info.

Regards

Chris
