Scott
http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showpost.php?p=2677070&postcount=55 Don't underestimate the kinetic energy contained in a car even at 'slow' speeds That is without brakes being applied and no resistance from going side on though. The deceleration from going side on at 30mph with the brakes applied is relatively quick (i've done it ). No way this was 30mph.

Tony
Pity it wasn't a veilside kitted car indeed... that would almost like be putting it out of it's misery.... wouldent have crashed if he had a decent kit on ie: Veilside:p

scotty71
driving too fast end of. Not down to diesel, kickdown, and there is no ice about so driver error IMO and for all the conspiracy theorists, the leaves have not fropped yet either

C_Strike
I have for sure, diesel and round abouts in the wet do not mix. Amen to that! my first crash was due to roundabout and diesel.. oh and rev1 mk2 Mr2, which you need to drive like a nun in the wet, lol
jackso11
that crash is a good 40-50m away from the round about. I went round the corner last night and its not bad at all. Also that article in the paper, all the comments are about the adjacent road not the one he crashed on. Pointless! I don't understand why someone who was clearly speeding and driving like a loon was let off for smashing his car to bits and demolishing someones private wall! Guess he is not a member otherwise he would have piped up by now. Must be the tan interior, I don't think you are allowed to be a member if you have one of them
Benyon
I have for sure, diesel and round abouts in the wet do not mix. If you think thats bad, try going round a roundabout in the wet with banana skins on the floor:d
