Durandal
I've got a bit of a high idle after warm up and after using the search function have found lots of possible stuff to check, TPS, ICV etc. I have a simple question though. For a j-spec tt, how far open/closed should the sub throttle butterfly be at idle. Mine is opened just a crack. Shouldn't it be fully closed while the ICV controls the amount of air at idle? Tricky-Ricky
Are you referring to the actual throttle or the trac control butterfly? If its the latter you have a fault it should be fully open and not shut until the trac control operates, but most people disable it by pulling the relay. Durandal
Yah that's the one. I figured it was suppose to stay open.
Chris Wilson
Open a fraction, but it is set by measuring in accordance with a workshop manual. That and the TPS setting are critical to proper running.
