tbourner
Anyone used a 10GB iSCSI dual FC HBA (Chelsio) connected to a RAID server controller? We're using Procomm to set it up in PassThru mode, set all the IPs (192.168.222.x, x being 1 for the network cable, 100 for the group, 222 and 223 for the 2 ports of the HBA. The controller has 2 ports but sets up with 3, which are 11, 12 and 13) and using Chelsio's iSCSI initiator software to log on to the drives. We set the discovery tab to 192.168.222.100 but only get all 16 drives showing up in the targets tab if one of the cables is unplugged! Do we need additional software to get multi-path working? Also when you go to connect to a drive target (with 1 cable) it only connects on the 3rd attempt, otherwise it takes 30 seconds to tell you connection failed - very strange! We've got all 16 drives to show in computer manager (Windows Server 2003) but it took bleedin ages to connect to them all, and it's only running on 1 cable which isn't very good for us! We've got to do the same on a 48 bay chassis next, it's gonna take a day to connect all the drives!!!
