marcAB10
So, I'm real bad for sleeping through my alarm clock and having a mad rush to get to work on time. Currently just using my iPhone that's set to go off 5 times.. What I need is a very loud alarm clock, the old style ones with the twin bells would have been ideal but I can't get sleep with the loud ticking. So any recommendations on a hooring loud alarm that doesn't tick really loud? What do you guys use? And don't just say 'the wife'
RedM
Surely there's an alarm clock app out there.

michael
I have a Pure Siesta, it's very noisy, maybe even louder than my snoring.

Thanking you kindly. Any more recommendations? That don't include me adopting a dog?

Kopite
I've got one from when I was a kid - my iPhone on it's own doesn't always wake me up, this one is set 5 mins after the iPhone ones. It's a proper "ERRR ERRR ERR" one, just a cheap radio alarm clock from Argos at the time.

Supralad
surley you have a radio or stereo? You can normally set alarms on these, so just do that and set the volume to maximum. If you set it up to go off downstairs, you have to get up to turn it off, especially if its something rather annoying like Westlife or Lady Gaga. Works a treat for me. (Only downside is that i now know the lyrics to 'Westlife - Im flying without wings' off by heart )
Abz
Or you could get one of them ones I think from boysstuff.com where the top part flies off and you have to find it and put it on to stop the noise! I am sure that would wake you up, plus the iPhone one goes off after a bit. This one keeps bleeping until you actually connect the flying disk back in again! Genius! Thats what I was going to suggest. There is also the 'Sonic Boom' alarm clock that I got for my brother last christmas. I think it was about 100db and also has a vibrating thing to go under your mattress/pillow. That one worked for him.
James
An iPod dock to charge your phone and find music that is really hard to sleep through. That's why Fliss doesn't sleep in - I set it for Psyopus or something and she goes AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH

Thats what I was going to suggest. There is also the 'Sonic Boom' alarm clock that I got for my brother last christmas. I think it was about 100db and also has a vibrating thing to go under your mattress/pillow. That one worked for him. now this is what i'm taking about! i googled it and found the sonic boom ones available on hearing difficulty sites, it's 113db in volume.. :eyes: only £32 too so may have to try this one.. An iPod dock to charge your phone and find music that is really hard to sleep through. That's why Fliss doesn't sleep in - I set it for Psyopus or something and she goes AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH haha i bet just Fliss alone would be a great alarm clock, i can imagine it now... "get the f*ck outta the bed james and turn that sh*t off!!"..
caseys
http://www.firebox.com/product/1896/Sonic-Bomb-Alarm-Clock?via=ser This staggeringly loud waker-upper features an alarm that lets rip at a bone-shuddering 113 decibels. That's louder than a chainsaw or a helicopter Also has a 'bed vibrator' for the erm... ladies? http://www.find-me-a-gift.co.uk/flying-alarm-clock.html?utm_source=froogle&utm_medium=free&utm_term=Flying+Alarm+Clock EDIT: Doh!
