stevie_b
This is looking like a good job. Good on you for having the balls to give it a go. Your willingness to take your time and to prep it well at each stage is showing through. Group buy on rattle cans, anyone?
jonathanc
I admire your effort and determination mate Looks pretty cool so far can't wait to see finished product. The colour scheme reminds me of the Reventon, some sort of jet fighter paintjob.
evinX
I know i love that military stealth bomber look, and a supra is a great machine, so it makes sence in a way:D
jonathanc
I know i love that military stealth bomber look, and a supra is a great machine, so it makes sence in a way:D Another big bonus of doing this is you won't be worrying about rust for a loooooong time Awaiting for more pics mate! I am a fellow rattle canner myself as I don't have the space and also the proper equipment for the "real" stuff. I've never painted a whole car before though just bits and bobs If you are careful and patient the results are still impressive!
evinX
Prepped and painted the front wings and bumper, bumper didnt half wind me up, so many chips here and there to sort, most difficult part yet, PICS! http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc4/hs303.snc4/40480_1563147955575_1141640031_3225554_7626494_n.jpg http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc4/hs092.snc4/35955_1563148635592_1141640031_3225555_8186336_n.jpg http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash2/hs052.ash2/35955_1563148675593_1141640031_3225556_677693_n.jpg Still drying in the garage as i speak, need it to dry then give it a mist http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc4/hs112.snc4/35955_1563148715594_1141640031_3225557_171035_n.jpg http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc4/hs112.snc4/35955_1563148755595_1141640031_3225558_2154548_n.jpg Painting some fittings http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc4/hs208.snc4/38754_1563148995601_1141640031_3225559_8086604_n.jpg So once those bits are dry, i can start on the tailgate, get that out the way and onto the shell! tailgate shouldnt take me more than a few hours to get into paint:)

evinX
Few odds and ends done, painted my door handles, got the qtr glass out - not even hard, popped dow the 99p shop and got some stanleys, and they did the job! 10mins per window, killed the passenger side one in my rage as i chipped the plastic, so now need both sides instead of just the driver side!! masked her up in some nice silver plastic sheets i got while i was down there, and im ready for the body work. Also painted the tailgate under the shed over the weekend. Also ordered a 3x3 fold out gazebo to paint the body under, sod it i want it to be nice and clean!
