Neil-NA
I wont drink any of that sh*te anymore after a night out where i had around 4 litres of redbull and then started to twitch and shake. Strangely it was the same night where a couple of people died from overdoses of energy drinks.
Attero
I associate all energy drinks with alcohol, therefore making me feel violently ill thinking about it.... I can drink it - just not think about it.
Matt H
I don't think anyone can deny it's full of crap and no one should drink it. However, I'm not a big fan of tea or coffee, so when I'm feeling tired, i.e. after a late night, I need to get my caffeine kick from somewhere and I do sometimes nip into a local store for a can of the chemical stuff – regrettably. Vodka Reds are also something I usually have one or two of on a night out to get me through if I start to lag. I don’t think anyone should choice to drink energy drinks purely for the taste, as there’s plenty of tasty drinks out there that are healthier and less controversial. It's like many things out there, such as smoking, steriods etc. You might be one of the many people who get through life using / taking / consuming them with no serious consequence, but there's a chance you could be one of the ones that aren't as lucky who develop serious complications as a result - cancers, heart conditions, liver problems etc. I quess it's all about consuming responsible, even something as fundemental as oxygen can be lethal if it makes up 100% of the gas you breath in. KamaSupra
I find I only drink energy drinks on nights out, I'm not into beers so much these days so it's always RedBull and Jagermeister or vodka for me. I can drink it all night on a night out, get to bed at 4am and be up at 9am feeling awake and refreshed God bless Jäger Bombs and pitchers

RedM
With regard to what Matt H said about coffee as a stimulant I think I read something the other day about that being a myth. Basically, your morning coffee doesn't boost you up it merely brings you out of caffeine withdrawal and puts you back at what is considered normal. IIRC some science bods conducted a bunch o' tests and found that the people's brains were no more amped on coffee than those who weren't. It was just that the coffee drinkers needed it just to be normal. Maybe it's a crock and someone proper smart (Tannhauser) will correct me. AndrewOW
Lipovitan is the best energy drink, IMO. It tastes nice, and genuinely revives you. I used to drink it after nights out years ago, and you can feel the effect, and keeps you going for hours.
RedM
I prefer water and a good kip to keep me feeling great.
nevins
I'm actually told that excessive cans of relentless/red bull gave me my stomach ulcer (which put me in hospital!) I was probably drinking about 2 cans a day... 12 cans odd a week. It may not be heart burn dude! Be careful! Don't go saying that lol, but on a serious note I wouldn't put it past it, as I burst a can on the switch of my drivers seat, cleaned it up thought that will be it. Came out to the sup the next day and the seat was reclined right back and moved forward. Got the seat back by "cough" shorting the wires in the plug, and when opening the switch up the pcb had been eaten away.

It's a fact that caffeine is a stimulent that has the effect of temporarily restoring alertness and stopping you from being tired. I conduct the experiance often on myself by just being at work at my desk. I don't drink tea of coffee, but when I do drink it because I'm tired, it perks me up. Even more so when I drink an enegry drink because the caffeine levels in it are sky high. But you're right about the sleep. Nothing more important than a good nights keep to make sure your day's productive and you feel good.

ilicos
The light blue Monster drink (Low Carb & Calories) is great. That and original Relentless, but with relentless I get funny looks on the train from people and couldnt work it out until someone said, "your're not allowed to drink alcohol on the underground anymore sir!". I had to explain that it was an energy drink and it only looked like a can of beer/cider!
Harry Sachs
Not a fan of Monster at all. The Greem and Purple Relentless are ok but taste wise I mch prefer Red Bull. Intead, now I will have a can of diet coke and 2 of these http://www.bulkpowders.co.uk/product.php?xProd=244 They blow your nut clean off without having to worry about sh!tting out your insides.........it's win win. Everytime I have red bull or any energy drink for that matter on a heavy night, I do wake up feeling absolutely fine. Not a hangover despite a stomach full of Whisky.
