supra mkiv
hey guyes I have a little problem with my 2jzgte engine when I give it some boost, ist running fine up to 4000 rpm then it's like it loses steam slightly until it reaches the 4500 rpm where you can feel the second turbo strike in. I have checked all hoses and they are not leaking. where could be my problem? i have tried having it to second gear, get the pedal to the floor, ist running about 0.6 to 0.7 bar and when i reach about 4000 rpm it kind off stop pulling, to i reach 4500 rpm and the second turbo get to work the the rpm limit. then i tried 3 gear, and it does the same, reach about 0.6 bar off boost the the 4000 rpm, and again stop pulling to i get over 4500 rpm where the secound turbo get to work. Dodge
some of them do this m8, have you got a big intercooler? mine does this, the second turbo takes a while to spool ive seen it a few times on ones with big blitz coolers, and one or 2 with standard coolers
Suprab1
My supra was doing something like this & it turned out to be plugs gapped wrong & 1 of the coil packs had a bad conection.
supra mkiv
I have found the problem, it was a hose which had a hole in as it gnawed at the pipe on turbo number one. then i cut a little off, so it could keep close. so now comes turbo number 2 in at 3,800 rpm
Dodge
could you take a picture of the hose and show us? or just describe? if it wears easy id like to know which particular one for future reference thanks
supra mkiv
off course:) I've attached a picture where there are a blue ring and red ring, it is where the connection between turbo number 1 and turbo 2 becomes active. where the blue ring is, it was that leaked on my engine. and did so turbo number 2 not stepped in before it hit 4500 rpm.
