I'm abseiling in aid of Cancer Research UK.

In just a few week on Sunday August 15th I'll be throwing myself off the side of a building (hopefully connected to a rope) in aid of Cancer Research UK. I've chosen to do this for 2 reasons, 1 being that it will be an extreme challenge to me as I hate heights, put it this way the windows in my house are terrible outside as I wont even go up a ladder!!! And secondly because in my partners family there have been a few memebers affected by cancer, but I am glad to say they have always pulled through.

Thought I would post this up just on the off chance that I may get some more sponsorship for it, as I need to hit my £200 target to be able to take part in the event of course if I can bust that £200 target and make more that would be even better.

But also to find out if anyone else has been abseiling and can somehow calm my nerves with some good tips other than dont look down lol

I'll be abseiling down Guys Tower, which is 450ft tall at Guys & St Thomas' Hospital in London. The funniest thing I'm finding is that in the information pack I have received about the day, it says that "in the event of sevier weather the event will still take place" I sooooo hope thats a typo!

Many thanks,

Edd
