grahamc
Im about to get a set of wheels refurbed and need some new tyres.... anyone run these on their road cars? what are they like in the wet? What about the more extreme weather like snow and ice?
aman00123
Ask JamieP and Jevansio, as far as I know these are great for dry but not so good in wet as they are really track tyres but Jamie and Jay should be able to give more/better advice on this
JamieP
I have always found them fine in the rain.
T2 MSW
Yeah me too, only in really heavy downpours have i ever had an issue. When the tyre cant clear the water it tends to float about ontop of it. Other than that they are fine in the wet. Ice however I would imagine they are no good. They are not recommended to be stored in freezing conditions (there is a thread on here about it) as the rubber cracks so as a winter tyre they would not be recommended. Sounds good... going onto an impreza, so have the benefit of AWD as well. Should only be short term, while I get the wheels currently on the refurbed and new tyres. Then these will go to track wheels/tyres!

aman00123
There's a whole thread about the price of 888's bud
Gaz6002
They're not very grippy at all in the rain under normal driving conditions... and ice is impossible. I ran some on the back of my single for a LOT of miles, and found going back to T1-Rs for everyday driving was a pleasure. They grip well in the dry though
