downimpact
Hoping someone can help or advise. I have the 996v3 which has been working fine up until last week. The key fob doesn't engage or disarm the alarm generally and the LED on the half moon bit doesn't light, implying the alarm isn't self arming. I've resorted to using the key to open the car. However when I go to turn the engine on the alarm goes off and I can disable it with the key fob and then start the car. Other than this the key fob doesn't seem to work at any time. I've recently changed the batteries in the fobs so it's not this. Anyone any ideas what may be causing this and a solution? Thanks Jon

Lee P
Try disconnecting the battery for 10 seconds. The alarm will go off but it will reset it.
SUPRALOOPY
Also check if the led on the fob is working as this is part of the circuit that sends the signal. If the led breaks you can renew it or solder a small strand of wire across the terminals. Another problem with these alarms is the ultrasonics. Guest ugp
There was a resyncronising sequence that fixed mine temporarily, I'll see if I can find it in my draw. I got fed up with it in the end so ripped it out and fitted a hornet 2 way jobby.
