RedM
http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=198185&highlight=cove Beat you to it months ago. I've seen it ooh just a few times now at various events, fundraisers and the like. The real issue is what do you do after you've watched it though? edinlexusV8
Channel 4 documentaries are sponsored by HONDA, and what is the documentary about? It is about Japan killing thousands of dolphins! How Ironic is that! A japanese company sponsoring an anti-japan program!!
RedM
Channel 4 documentaries are sponsored by HONDA, and what is the documentary about? It is about Japan killing thousands of dolphins! How Ironic is that! A japanese company sponsoring an anti-japan program!! Very few people will think of it like that and I doubt Honda aren't even that bothered. Next weeks film 'End of the line' is equally good and even more depressing. It's a shame that they aren't going to show Sharkwater or the truly disturbing Earthlings though. Neil-NA
Was really quite shocked to see what went on having never heard about this in the past. The mrs was quite upset at the end, the fact they get through 23,000 dolphins per year was beyond belief.
Wez
Watched this yesterday, very well put together. Its amazing how angry something like this can make you. What I don't understand is why isn't this on a main channel during peak hours so the masses see it, I wouldn't have known if it wasn't for this thread
RedM
Watched this yesterday, very well put together. Its amazing how angry something like this can make you. What I don't understand is why isn't this on a main channel during peak hours so the masses see it, I wouldn't have known if it wasn't for this thread I often wonder that myself. The reality is that a huge number of people just won't care enough to watch it or will moan about how bummed out it made them feel. Maybe, like it did with you, some would feel angry but what then? It takes a bit of thinking to correlate the slaughter of dolphins with the continued and far greater slaughter of other marine species on a daily basis. Doing so also means that you may then have to address issues surrounding ones own passive support of that slaughter. Next weeks film (same time and channel) is End of the Line. That's a depressing and anger inducing film. How greedy we are. If you want to (indirectly) help to prevent the Dolphin slaughter as well as other campaigns you can donate to Oceanic Preservation Society here. Sea Shepherd who do a lot more work/direct action to prevent marine slaughter can be found here. If you want to feel angry all over again check out their report of whale slaughter in the Faroe Islands.
