MrRalphMan
Well, for the second time this week, we have a power cut in the centre of London (St Paul's area). I know there is a lot of work going on in the area, but this must happen at least once every two weeks, if not more frequent. Been out for at least 30 mins so far, unbelievable!! I just cannot understand how this can be such a regular occurrence for the capital. And the worse thing is... As part of the operations department, we're on UPS so we have to keep working... Scoboblio
this must happen at least once every two weeks, if not more frequent. Does it always coincide with you being on shift?
JustGav
Actually, wonder if it is related to the outage I've been fighting with all day long....grrrrr

Branners
We have 6 locations in London and the ones down around London Bridge are always going down. Usually takes EON around 4 hours to fix a proper outage, otherwise its normally about 20 minutes. Our other locations dont suffer as much but we do see the systems throw out alerts late at night when power goes down.
MrRalphMan
We're supplied by EDF... rubbish.
sdistc
Yeah, had a few minutes of outage around 4 p.m. near the Guildhall. Plays havoc with us, as our receptionists can't make appointments or billings!

Abz
Don't say that, I am sometimes located in our Fleet Place office next to the Old Bailey & 2 weeks ago we had that havoc with no power for the whole day! EDF took ages to sort out the problem and we had very unhappy clients.
sdistc
Not Regus is it? Nah, I deal in dispensing pain under the thin veil of "treatment and/or rehabilitation"
Bobbeh
We're supplied by EDF... rubbish. The French and reliability just don't go together, you should know this by now
Shane
We had power outage last weekend at 5 of our sites in Belgravia. Caused me loads of problems! About a year ago we had a mystery underground explosion in the mews of one of our sites and were without power for around a day or so. The explosion was such that a manhole cover was blown into the air and bounced off the bonnet of a parked Merc. I have a photo somewhere. They reckon it was a build up of methane which was their way of saying they were not liable. Interestingly the only damage in the duct was the power feed.
