Matt H
erm no, honest Well you'll be pleased to know, that my finger is hovering above the buy button on this: http://www.froogle.richersounds.com/product/av-receivers/yamaha/rxv365/yama-rxv365-blk Any really negative views on this before I go ahead? Pistonbroke? Just need to find new sub..... Do you care? I thought you wanted cheap? Not now I know I can loop the sound in via optics out of my sky box and my PS3. £5 a Digitial optic cable from amazon.
Wez
That £99 Yamaha looks cracking for price, tempted myself as I only run a 2.1 Jamo setup at the moment
pistonbroke
If you want to eventually use 7.1 uncompressed audio. You need to use hdmi. Optical can only fo 5.1 dd and dts

Optical can only fo 5.1 dd and dts Thanks, quess I'll just live with the 5.1 for now. With this Yamaha, will I need to buy a new sub speaker that's powered by its own source, or can does the reciever provide the power to the sub? That's my final question... promise! Looking at this pic of the back I would say you need a powered sub http://uk.yamaha.com/en/products/audio_visual/av_receivers_amps/rx_v365_black_b/?gallery_id=5167664&mode=enlarge http://uk.yamaha.com/en/products/audio_visual/av_receivers_amps/rx_v365_black_b/?mode=overview
