anyone heard of train 4 trade skills

Funnily enough - I applied to this when I was unemployed and things were looking desperate. I was looking into be being a lecky/plumber. Sounded good enough - If I remember correctly it was 12-20 weeks worth of learning and tests. A lot of the courses would be away from home and you'd have to find your own way there and sort out your own accomodation. Once you passed you be a lecky's apprentice for a year or two and then the world would be your oyster!

 

The thing that put me off was the price - it was either £5995 or £6995 for the course but you got s free bag of tools. What a great deal - where do I sign!

 

Perhaps it is a good deal, I don't know, but it seemed rather steep at the time especially as I had no income. You could pay it monthly admittedly and if you do have a job you can work sessions round work, but I remember them saying that I would have to commit to two sessions of 1 week practicals as part of the training.

 

Anyway, a bit more info from someone who at least enquired.
