RCK10
The only problem i found when i ratted my old motor bikes was how easy it was to mark..like dragging a fingernail along it would leave a mark etc. Be interesting to see if you come across this also.. Yup, he will. Although like you said, its an easy fix. Just carry a rattle can in the car and your sorted. I can see why you'd do this to an old ratty vauxhall/citreon/peugeot or what not, but its never something i'd even consider doing to a car like the supra. As for a cleaning product, a bucket of water, soap and a sponge. Its not going to be a paintjob that requires any attention to detail or expensive cleaning products. Good luck with it mate
evinX
FANTASTIC!! I love rat black!! If it was any other 15 yr old car you wouldn't think twice...go for it..it's just a car Out of interest..regarding the baby wipes thing...why can't you just wash with soapy water as per normal? The only problem i found when i ratted my old motor bikes was how easy it was to mark..like dragging a fingernail along it would leave a mark etc. Be interesting to see if you come across this also..i hope not though..but hey..you can just spray it away BANG..AND THE MARK IS GONE lol EDIT: One of the best cars i saw, was at a bike garage my mate worked at many years ago..many diff colours of paint and folks just dipped their hands in ..and the hand prints covered the car, sure it was an only banger of a car but it was cool That happens when you use normal acrylic based paint, primer, colour and no clear, if it happens when you have used clear, the paint isnt dry, base (colour) never really hardens properly its the clear coat that gives protection so thats why you had that problem, i wont, this stuff is 1 layer and has the qualities of primer, base and clear all in one, dries very tough, will be a bi*ch to sand if i need to:)

Nemesis
I had a Ford Zephyr (many, many moons ago) that I did in matt black..it looked evil. There,s a matt black Ferrari 360 in Bromley and it looks the dogs IMO. Interested as to how this turns out, my Supra is shiney white which seems to be the fashion right now, but one day in a couple of years (if I don't stack it) I know I'm going to want a rat Supra. Good luck with your car dude.
Aweegin
I don't see the problem.. it all boils down to re-sale. If evinX is planning to keep it a whiles, what does it matter... That happens when you use normal acrylic based paint, primer, colour and no clear lol..that'll be it then. It was a cheap ol bike i learnt on.. i ratted the whole thing.. 'dusted' it with red oxide for effect and sprayed the wheels flouro green lol I dont think the sand down pre-next coat would cause too much jip.. just whether other paints react to it..hammerite is funny stuff. I have used it at work before and it's pulled off the old paint i was using it to cover...but that was the brush on gear..it's the Devils work lol

Tap water is horrendous..I washed an old car of mine, long time ago now..left it to dry, while i had dinner, ready to polish...i had to T cut it to get out the water marks. PJ
You should be fine with cleaning it, just make sure you dry it off as much as possible. And as for polishing it, I'm sure you know how the saying goes, you can't polish.........
evinX
Yep, they spray finish is the final finish, cant compound or polish it:D Woke up to find some little cat has walked on my bonnet and onto the bins, after 3 years of living here, he decides to do it on the day i paint my bonnet hehe, his paw prints were just dust and the paint is fully dry. Looks great, ill take some pics later:)
