kazama76
Just for a laugh i thought id mess about with my insurance online, coz i was thinking of getting a RAC trackstar put on to see if my insurance came down it actually went up from 1,110,10 to 1,327,55. So for the laugh. i took off my cat 1 alarm only to see my insurance plummet to 1,012.00. Anyone shed a light on how the hell insurance people work this out lmao because this IS laughable. insurer is Admiral. ADDED To add to this i asking for a quote for a twin turbo and get back £868.55 So on the short note ppl get rid of your NA's and get a twiny :-)
nevins
The company is a joke any way, messed me around big time. In short they insured me for a year and at the end decided to tell me that my insurance was void from start.

On the plus side they gave me my money back for the year £1600
nevins
The best part of it is that they admitted that they never insure N/A's, admittedly it was elephant but they are the same company. They said that they didn't know how they done it. I still et letters asking if I will go back to them, but I'm with sky now and can not fault them. Swampy442
They insured my Aristo no worries, took my cash, then the docs arrived as GS300 import, not even a real car! One almighty struggle later and cash returned. Try Sky Kev

Havard
I pay £410 for the NA with AON on a classic policy. Rang them last week for a quote on a TT and they would need to send me a cheque for £30...... H.
RCK10
At the moment I'm around 1400 insurance on a 1.4 pug 306... Decided to try a quote on a 1.9 gti tdi mk4 golf - 2400 So far sheer laughs, I tried to insure a supra tt - 1900 ? All prices with admiral and when the dude phoned up to ask about the pug insurance, I asked why it was cheaper to insure a supra tt than a 1.9 golf and not far off the Peugeots price...his reply? "It's hard to explain how it works. So about the Peugeot...." Hard to explain? Wtf?. Keep in mind this was on a PROVISIONAL license lol. I'm really interested to find out how they can work that one out. I expected at least 7k+ to insure a learner on a tt if at all...
kazama76
i only got a NA cos i thought i wouldnt be able to afford TT insurance how wrong was i. So next question. Does anyone want to swap THEIR TT for MY NA lol
Guest RayRoocroft
Id watch this by the way... what alot are not realising (myself included until i scratched my head) is that the TT the insurance companies bring up are generally UK models, which of course they typically are not. Ive entered plenty of plates to get quotes ranging from £1200-£2900 (23, 4 years driving, 3 years ncb, 5 points) but then i entered the vehicle without a reg as a supra tt import and it sprang right up. moral of the story - ring insurance up if you want a quote thats actually for your car

You'll find that more people are wanting to drive golfs at a younger age. More golfs are crashed due to inexperienced or dumb drivers. Therefore golfs are known to be a risk factor. Supras are generally driven by older and more experienced drivers who take care of their joy. Therefore less Supras are crashed, meaning the insurance is lower.
