Supragal
Also, calm down a bit, there may be a reason for it and it may still be a genuine car mate! Just get it checked out for your peace of mind. *edit* somehow I only read the first page of this so I guess I'm a little late
CJ
My worry would be what happens when the chap comes to sell in the future. I would also be very suspicious of any crew who gave me a big refund due this discrepency. If it was kosher then they would have stuck to their guns. Of course, all IMHO
Terminator
Any impact that caused sufficient damage to need the inner wing replaced, would probably needed pulling on a jig IMHO. It is either total bullshit or total bullshit. Either way its a very big risk. I would want some serious checks done to the car before I took it out at speed. IMHO most aftermarket front kits screw the areodymanics, so are a waste of time if you want a fast high speed car.
MARTIN R
Probably going over old ground but agree with CJ, I would have accepted nothing less than a refund mate.
Ceptik
Well, its done now i suppose. You have to bear in mind im only keeping this car for a year and then either selling it as parts or keeping it for a future project car (if i can afford to keep it). Its just a year long bit 'o' fun. JohnA
I've been had by dodgy traders long ago, when exchanging my first-ever car for a mini cooper (!) They were con artists, shut the shop down and boogered off with all customers' money (advances, deposits, prepayments, the lot) The local police were actually very aware of them, and would do anything to protect them from angry punters. However I was homicidal, young, dumb, full of cum ----> tracked down homes, new premises, stalked them quietly. Got all my money back in the end, plus 'expenses' However, lesson learnt: be VERY careful next time, heh... To give you an example, the supra I bought now, I went with a printout of the seller's details from the electoral roll (different to the address he met me at), a friend to double check and follow, a digital camera, and a wheelclamp (if needed, to immobilise the vehicle in case I was to pay a deposit). Never again will I allow to be the sucker
Dragonball
All sorted now. Cant explain right this moment but he has coughed up a lot and got a year's tax outta him. PS: Can anyone recommend a company in the UK that do competitive priced aftermarket styling/bumpers? ****cough**** Just bung me an email or call mate! sideshowbob
It always pays to take someone 'level headed' with you when you view a car, it's all too easy to get caught up in the excitement of a new car, especially a supra! Hope you got the deal you wanted mate, and she turns out to be a good'un...
