Gambit
I'd go with the VX. A 4 door car that looks that bad ass!

Scott
VXR8, the Audi is the extremely boring choice.
JamieP
Vauxhall give terrible service, they dont know one end of the car from the other, some members of the HSV forum have been without there cars for months on end waiting for parts to come from austrailia, if you tune it it will break, all the high power ls cars over there seem to live in the workshop for years on end. In a nutshell, the RS4 is a far better car, give Pig a pm, he has one.
Arbedark
I was contemplating a VXR8 before settling on a Supra, insurace was an utter farce on one though, and of course being more than double the cost of a Supra was also a factor. But big V8 RWD car with 4 doors must be an absolute hoot. MPG doesn't look good though (something like mid teens combined in real world conditions Edit: At the end of the day, everyone thinks Audi drivers are a bunch of....erm anyways.... ozz
I've been looking at the VXR8, stunning sounding car but its a lot of money to pay for a vauxhall.
sdistc
I've been looking at the VXR8, stunning sounding car but its a lot of money to pay for a vauxhall. That's because it's a Holden Commodore Rob, are you dead set on the VXR8? Have you considered a nice low mileage Monaro VXR LS2?
Stonkin
I cant comment on actual owner experience but i would personally think the Audi is the 'better' car. The vauxhall looks more extreme but id bet the build quality will be far superior on the audi, plus they are lovely to drive
ozz
That's because it's a Holden Commodore Rob, are you dead set on the VXR8? Have you considered a nice low mileage Monaro VXR LS2? Still a vauxhall to the masses, some of my favourite cars I've owned have been vauxhalls but they were cheap and cheerful, there are a lot of 'prestige' cars around for 30k. I was looking at VXR8s closer to 20k and I still thought that was a lot to pay for something that looks like a vectra on steriods. I do however love the engine and the sound, pure badge snobbery though!
kslb
If someone offered me a choice of the two to take for a blast then I would pic the VX however if the offer was which one would you like to keep then the Audi wins hands down.
Evil_Nuts
VXR8 all the way..........IMO Audis are pants.......
tooley
all the pwc bods seem to have the vxr8's over the audi's not sure if the get a better lease deal over the audi or not but still the vx is winning in the car park wars downstairs
creative
the R8's are awesome! they are everywhere over here and my old boss had one. Go like stink, bit of a noisy box on the manuals and very hard suspension. she hasnt had any problems with it so far except for her own doings... a woman of 5ft stature should be driving one basically! lol she couldnt see over the bloody bonnet! Guest tgaskin
We have these VXR8's in australia, and from my experience, they're easy to self-service, and pretty bulletproof. Theyre pretty simple machines, and I smile to myself every time I hear one go past. I love the flat 6 in my supra, but hell, you can't beat the rough sound of a V8 first thing in the morning Audi's are too much of a bank managers car, if you get my drift. Matt H
What 'year' are you looking at with the Audi Rob? Personally, I'd have the RS4 any day, but I wouldn't turn down the other either
