You should wait to see if you get banned as you might not need it
scotty71
102 is deserving of a ban IMO and doing these speeds on a regular basis is putting others at risk as well as yourself. Wanting one of these devices surely states you speed everywhere but dont want to get caught. To your original question yes they do work but different models work on different kinds of speedgun models etc..
SIMON LC
1st of all,its not me who got caught doing 102.I fully agree that speeding in certain places should be dealt with straight away but on a open mountain road in the middle of Wales with nothing around and the copper sitting behind the hedge with a gun,I think is taking it a bit far.I think a little common sense prevails here and lets face it,can we all put our hand on our heart and say we dont ever speed? nevins
They do work but the only problem is that the camera comes up with a error code and it takes a pic any way. You then get a knock on the door and vehicle impounded and inspected, if they find it on the vehicle you are fined and charged with some thing I can not remember what. So don't bother. Scott
If you are serious about it..... If you have a garage you can have the device open the garage doors. If you don't want the cost of the doors you can have the device switch a light on (Security light at your garage). Basically if you have a use for the laser device, that you can justify, it is completely legal. Buying it solely to trick the guns will see you nailed. scotty71
Yes you are right we all speed at some point.... And like you said common sense where you open it up is key but the way I see it if I open up the throttle and get caught thats my fault. I wouldnt go down the gizmo route but whats not for me might be for you
SIMON LC
Yeh I heard about them impounding your vehicle if they experiance a gun lock out on your vehicle a number of times. And you can justify having it fitted to open electronic doors, etc.
nevins
The thing you need to think about is this, electric doors work of a fob if you have the jammer set up in the front end of the car, do you really think they are going to believe that its for a door. They couldn't prove it wasn't for a door/light though. Garage door openers are coming alone quite alot. For example we know have them which work by scanning your finger print, The ones that go one the front of your car, and the more luxury cars can have them programmed to the car by similar methods. SIMON LC
So does this mean if you put a row of parking sensors across the front of your car and keep them powered up all the time, they would do the same job?

Yes, thats the point, the police do NOT own the frequency that the radar guns use, it is not illegal for you to use that same frequency. SIMON LC
Do all parking sensor kits use the same frequency then?
dude
Do all parking sensor kits use the same frequency then? No this is a special kit;) which is why it costs over £

Septic
No this is a special kit;) which is why it costs over £300 This definitely sounds the best of the bunch. No need to come up with an excuse as to why you have a laser jammer fitted. Great find

The police guy we were talking to at Yarmouth was saying about these. They throw up a specific error code (that the coppers have been trained to look for) and if you are caught with one they can do you for Perverting the course of justice and the vehical taken straight off you. jonathanc
Only if you have done it for the purpose of jamming the signal, as already said Yeah but what are the chances of someone trying to open their garage door at over 100mph?
evinX
If they had the gun on him maybe you should be looking into EMP's
