Hoppy
Hi guys I fitted a new aftermarket intake manifold + Q45 throttle body on the weekend, and now i seem to have a misfire, + when the revs get to 3000rpm, the power totally cuts out and then comes back after a second or so. I have visually re-checked the injector plugs, map sensor and all the other plugs but everything appears to be in place. Also i fitted a Q45/Greddy TPS kit, so i'm still using the stock TPS, and i used a new Toyota maniold - engine block gasket. Any ideas chaps? Wez
Have you had it remapped to suit?
Hoppy
Not yet mate, will be getting a re-map done shortly.
Wez
As you have changed the TPS, throttle body and intake you will need a remap. You may get it to run a little smoother with a simple recalibration of the throttle but I dont know what ECU setup you are running and it would only be advisable to poodle about off boost until the map can be verified. supra steveo
Have you checked all your little vacuum hoses? The sensor on the intake of mine snapped and ran really rough. Just an idea

Ok Wez, i'll get the map checked and go from there mate.I'll leave it parked up till then, cheers Have you checked all your little vacuum hoses? Just an idea Steve i put all new hose fixings on before i fitted it mate.I checked these again yesterday and they seem ok to be honest mate. cheers
MartinBattye
Not yet mate, will be getting a re-map done shortly. there will more than likely be a hardware fault.. running that badly by just chaging the inlet is unlikely.
Hoppy
It's a bit of a strange one this. If i unplug the TPS lead the car runs perfect. But before fitting this Q45 throttle body the TPS was ok Do i need to reverse the TPS wiring as i'm now using the Trac/TPS sensor, which goes the other way to suit the Q45? Hoppy
I've just discovered that i'm not actually using a trac control TPS The one i've fitted is the same as the one i removed with the stock TB.Some how i have 2 throttle TPS sensors and no trac tps. So basically when i open the throttle it's not pushing against the TPS.It's moving away from it instead.Hence the problems!! This must mean that when i bought my Supra the trac tps had already been replaced with a throttle tps. Anyone happen to have a spare trac tps?
