Ligaments again!!

Went out on the town with the Wife on Sunday night, bit of a pub crawl and to enjoy the final of the World Cup. I had a good drink in me but I wouldn't say I was OTT, but this is the aftermath.

I've torn the ligaments in both ankles previously so I'm thinking I might have weakened it, hence it happening so easily again. I virtually couldn't walk anywhere, anyone who has had this will know the pain I am talking about, so it was taxis everywhere... including a visit to A&E the next morning.

The good news is we had a fantastic night and it wasn't far off the end before this happened so nothing about the night itself was ruined.

Pics time! :D

I went to work today and although I struggled I managed to get about not too badly. I've certainly got off lightly compared to the pevious 2 times that I have had this injury. First time I was house bound for a week and on crutches for 6. Off on holiday on Friday.... oh the joys :D

thats is one gubbed foot dude. Did they say how long healing time will be?

Start rattling, loads of protein, glutamine, this will aid in recovery.

When I did it last year it still felt a bit off after 4 months. I was actually worried something else was wrong as I didn't go to the hospital that time. Basically I'm set for it never being 100% again, I think I got lucky with my left foot... it's been fine and it was far worse. After 6 weeks I should be walking fine.

Funny you should mention diet, I was actually thinking about this today. I eat absolutely loads of chicken. What other foods should I be aiming at? I'm a fussy bugger with my grub. I'm simplistic but fussy lol.

The first time I would have been better off with a broken ankle, it was frightening. This one isn't so bad, in comparison.

I've been shot and stabbed, nothing comes close to tearing ligaments. It is without a doubt the sorest thing I have ever experienced. This one gets a 7 out of 10 on the pain rating :D

Nice effort, mate! Ice, and liberal consumption of NSAIDs, will certainly be your best friend this week ;) A tightly wrapped bandage (generally from inside to outside of ankle i.e. in clockwise direction, pulling the foot back towards your shin) will also help control swelling and pain.

Fortunately not at the same time. I can't even say the flab saved me as I was skinny as a rake when they happened. Stabbing was unprovoked scrotes at a nightclub, shooting was a mate by "accident" (was just in the ankle, hurt quite a bit though) :D
