Evil_Nuts
Been seeing a load of these on Audis and Mercs around here, now we've just starting getting Auris hybrids in stoxk they have them too......i think they are bloody pants....i hate them.....big time:thumbdown:
stevie_b
Why do you hate them? They don't dazzle AFAIK, if anything they're a safety feature.
Animal
They're not as annoying as they were in the 70's/80's. Saab & Volvo drivers got sick of everyone constantly telling them their lights were on when it was daytime
Rob
I have heard talk of it being a legal requirement on all new cars at some point in the future.
JustGav
I have heard talk of it being a legal requirement on all new cars at some point in the future. Maybe because a lot of people FORGET to turn them on when it gets dark...

Correct, however I think the OP is not referring to the safety element of their fitment- no brainer- but to the apparent chaviness of a string of LED's on a new, well engineered vehicle. \i think they look shite and completely spoil most cars:d
Evil_Nuts
As from Feb 2011 all new passenger cars must be fitted with daytime running lamps.....i just think they look naff when it's not dark....

nevins
The law has not passed on these yet have they, So if the vehicle has side lights dipped and main, then there is no legal requirement for them to be operational, and im sure they do not come into the mot so therefore can be disconnected. Supranature
If they were designed like a halogen tube or such like they would'nt be TOO bad, but the trend is for a row of fairy lights. YEUK. I'm guessing owners are now seeing them as a massive faux-pas.
