Wez
Could try these, no idea on cost though. http://www.turbodynamics.co.uk/ http://www.turbotechnics.com/ http://www.aet-turbos.co.uk/
paul mac
i presume its a Precision turbo, when i enquired about a rebuild Turbotechnics and Turbodynamics both politely declined there reasoning is that Precision turbos are not of sufficient quality for them to be able to warranty them after rebuild :(m sorry this doesn't help you but it may save you wasting time like i did
Gaz6002
I suggest speaking to AET. They told me they'd repair a Precision turbo.

Wez
From memory its a cost thing, the DBB cartridge cost almost the same new as it does to repair
Kirk
So in other words there saying precision are, to be frank, shit?
JamieP
Some places wont rebuild them because they cant get the parts, shafts on the precision turbos only come from precision, AET have a good working relationship with them and will rebuild them. Swampy442
Its only the oil seal, theres next to no play axially and none radially
paul mac
So in other words there saying precision are, to be frank, $#@!? to be quite honest yes, i even offered the "big boys" i would get the parts, to which Turbodynamics replied its not a case of parts, they could get them, it was more a case of having problems with Precision in the past so they decided not to deal with them anymore, Precision will rebuild their turbos but it means shipping to the States. A bit of research on my part would have shown these issues but i got sucked into the whole Boostlogic hype at the time , i am sure someone will rebuild in this country though but for me any future turbo replacement will be Garrett as i'm not falling for the latest flavour of the month again
Ian C
Turbo Dynamics told me once that the T67DBB is just a Garrett GT35 core anyway. And that they'd replace a damaged core with one of these. So that's a nice bit of conflicting info BTW I still consider a T67DBB to be once of the best turbos for a Supra, balancing spool and power output capabilities nicely. Having said that, I've not really got any experience of the newer beasts like the Borg Warner.
dangerous brain
So you may need that HKS T04R sat in my garage after all. It swaps straight into the housings. That is also a garret core.
Swampy442
It depends on what happens getting this one refurbed Bry, bit of false economy buying your second hand one mate then having to refurb that eventually. Calld AET today, said they'd call back, didnt.
dude
Most DBB centre housings cost as much as a turbo bit like a tv in bits costs loads more than the original one you bought in comet!!!! Precision are Garret Hybrids, they would say they lose all the crap garrett bits

jevansio
All the Precisions I've had have had Garrett Honeywell plaques on the core, can't see why anyone who can rebuild a Garrett won't rebuild a Precision, some funny people in this country
Swampy442
Call from AET today, guy called Andy. Explained what turbo I have, what I need, just a reseal is 295+ vat, if it needs a new bearing cartridge 395+ vat with a 2 day turnaround. No issue raised about Boost Logic/Precision
