Terminator
Sounds an excellent idea Tony. I am just about to put new discs and Endless CC-X pads on my rear UK callipers. Any temperature stickers you would recommend?
TLicense
I know Demon Tweeks use to sell AP temperature stickers as I've bought them from there before. To be honest though they'll all be much of a muchness.
Terminator
What would be the ideal temperature range?
TLicense
It will be dependant upon a number of things such as the boiling temperature of the brake fluid, and the pad material. Going from memory if you're running temps regularly over 200 degs C on the caliper, then you'll probably be needing to re-furbish the seals more regularly. The biggest difference you'll want to see front to back is about 25 degs C.
jevansio
Got a couple of weights too. Stock front discs (used) were 9.0kg AP Discs & bells (new) were 9.0kg Stock calipers & used pads were 7.2kg AP calipers/pads/brackets/bolts were 5.2kg So no savings on the discs & 2.0kg savings on the calipers (total 4.0kg on the front)
Chris Wilson
The road kits use a cheaper disc, that's rather heavy. You may find a race disc that fits the bells in their, Alcon's, or Brembo's range.
