FlrSupra
Finally I got Oxygen sensors changed for my N/A. See this picture for sensors.. did I have somekind of universal sensors fitted to Supra or what? On the left side is one of the Oxygen sensors I had on car and the right one is new OEM toyota part that I fitted (Part number: 89465-19615). http://gto.kuvat.fi/kuvat/oxygen.jpg/full Sadly I thought these sensors were the reason why my idle was not solid (jumping from 500 to 1000 almost all the time). But there was no effect when driving with new sensors.. All I have to hope it will "learn" new sensors because I only drove about 10miles to test. Resetted ecu also. Tricky-Ricky
Providing the lambda sensor has the correct number of wires and it will physically fit, then it will be fine, a lambda sensor is little more than a switch anyway, nearly all but a few (there are some with a 0-2V output but these are rare, as are the type that output a changing resistance in response to lambda values) have a 0-1V output with a switch point of 0.45V which equals 14.7 AFR= stoic
Jay_vr6
would the idle hunting not be your idle speed control valve ? maybe needs cleaning or replacing ?
FlrSupra
would the idle hunting not be your idle speed control valve ? maybe needs cleaning or replacing ? I have to try that one too. I was so sure based on writings here on forum that the fault is my Oxygen sensors. My idle is not all over the place like some have if their idle speed control valve is faulty. My idle just makes fast sudden little 100-200rpm drops and then come back to 900rpm. Like every 3seconds.. and sometimes it works rock solid on 900rpm for over 10secs and then starts to make sudden drops again. damn... got to take new emission test measurements and see did my Oxygen sensor-change made any difference. FlrSupra
You should see an improvement in fuel economy if it has. I have very high HC ppm-value (556) and did all basic stuff (plugs, leads, dist.cap, rotor arm & air filter) and now I changed Oxygen sensors. Let`s see what happens now.. hope the change did something good
