philsmith1a
Can’t find much info on this, is it possible to convert an auto box to sequential? Also how much bhp can the standard auto’s gearbox internals cope with?
Guest Supra-T
1000 bhp
InSvain
i`d thought it would be around 500BHP with no mods...
JustGav
Autobox to sequential? Don't get what you mean, are you referring to paddle style shift? Sequential boxes are completely different to the planetary design of the autobox.
philsmith1a
Because the auto box has the manual facility I thought it would be possible to convert the shifter mechanism to sequential i.e. pull back to change up and push forward to change down. Apologies if my terminology is wrong. Edited July 11, 2010 by philsmith1a (see edit history)

That said, nothing to stop you putting a gearbox computer in and run a paddle shift style with tip style gearlever. That said, the options for doing that are very slim. A friend of mine is developing that as we speak for the MR2 Auto, which apparently also works with the Supra
