Big brake upgrade

When upgrading j-spec to UK sized brakes, are the calipers, discs and pads all that need changing, along with some braided hoses? Or does the master cylinder need upgrading too? Are j-spec ones the same size as UK? I know when upgrading to EK9 or DC2 brakes on vti Civics the master cylinder can't cope with the extra size, so an EK9 or DC2 one is needed. Is this the same case?

The difference is small. I have a JDM master cylinder and have been using UK brakes for many years, with out a problem. I believe the general consensus is it is not worth the agro of trying to fit the UK master cylinder. I read somewhere that there are different slaves available which will improve braking, which are much easier to change.

So would you concider a Supra having J-spec brakes a small issue? I remember reading through some threads on here that to upgrade to UK spec brakes it costs around £1500 front and back, that makes me want to find one with the larger brakes in the first place. Just weighing up the cost of different Supras, some with the larger brakes and some not. I worry a lot, so I'd always be concerned that the J-spec master cylinder wouldn't be able to use the larger brakes properly...
