dil
Thinking about getting my car decated, theres quite a few threads on here about decated TT's and all the joys you get from doing it, lucky buggers:D Any one know of the pro's and con's of doing this to a N/A? cheers:thumbs:
Steve W
I THINK..... LOTS more noise ('specially if you've got a big bore zorst!) and a 'bit' more acceleration. Not quite as much difference as on a TT (I think) [ made BIG difference on my TT - mostly mid-range acceleration ] Sit back a few moments......here come the replies.... FatS. Alex
Do it man!!! Very noisey - not much extra go...but you'll shame alot of TT's with the noise!!! Lust2Luv has a Hiper on his (not sure if its decatted) and its extreamly loud for an NA!
Rob
My subtle hints to the breadknife that I want CW decat pipes for christmas has fallen on deaf ears, unless Chris chips in and tells me hes received an order from the wife. dil
not to bothered about what the noise will be like, but want to know if spending 200-300 quid will actually liberate any extra power as I wouldn't mind just a little bit more power low down in the rev range
Syed Shah
CW says they are worthwhile and liven the engine up, he does the decat pipes for the NA.

There is a very noticeable improvement, I can't give any figures, never taken power readings before or after, but I was glad I bothered and those that have fitted them seem well pleased. They are a PITA to make properly as they have a flexi section in them and the jig was a bit of a bar steward to do. E-mail me direct if you need to know more. (Or phone..)
