miko_supra Posted July 8, 2010 Share Posted July 8, 2010 (edited) My car started making an awful howling noise the other day. Kind of sounds like a bus. I think its the engine fan siezing and spinning too fast as the revs increase. Am I right in thinking that you should be able to stop the fan with the engine running? I found it impossible to do so on mine and when holding the fan and the starting the engine, the car struggled to idle. Turning the fan with the engine off, feels stiff.
