philsmith1a
Can anyone give me a list of how and what to check to diagnose why there is no heat coming through the interior vents. I currently have the dash off doing interior work so I was going to change the matrix anyway-is there any way of checking the matrix's condition? 2soops
Sounds like an airlock, or selector not moving to hot setting. I used to get similar on mine till i bled the radiator
nasoup
this is going to sound sarcastic but its not! Is the engines coolant level correct? Is the cars engine up to temperature when trying the heater?
philsmith1a
Coolant level is fine and yes i have tried it when the engine is at running temp. i will flush, refill and bleed the system 1st. As the dash is off i have been advised to change the matrix anyway but i am just a bit reluctant if there is nothing wrong with it, i wonder if there is any way of checking how old and what condition it is in. creative
change it anyway... If its the original, it will go at somepoint and you may as well do it now whilst it is in bits!

Dnk
This may sound a bit bonkers but if the dash is off how are you controlling the temp setting, have you plugged parts of the dash back in ?
