Guest blueangel
Is there any difference in the thinners you use for 2 pack paint to normal celulose.
dwayne
pretty sure there is mate or they would just sell one for both types (or so i thought). are you painting yours in 2 pack or cellulose? EDIT: pretty sure now, cellulose uses thinners and 2 pack uses activator

dr_jekyll
its normally somehting like 1:1 paint and activator + 10% thinners. for a top coat antibloom thinners are advised
Sharpe
its normally somehting like 1:1 paint and activator + 10% thinners. for a top coat antibloom thinners are advised anti bloom is really for old celly or 1k clear coat application - 2k finishes wouldnt bloom unless you chucked it out in the rain/damp before the paint had cured. most medium solids 2k direct gloss paints and clears are 2:1 paint/activator ratio basecoats usually 1:1 or 2:1 with thinner/reducer high solids paints are often 4:1 or 5:1 but any paints you buy should come with a tech sheet with all the information you need regarding mixing ratios. also with you pearls an metallics you want to stay away from fast thinner as it can cause blotches/mottling. Hope that helps
Guest blueangel
the laquer is 2;1 + 5% whats a fast thinner
Sharpe
the laquer is 2;1 + 5% whats a fast thinner there are 3 normal speeds for thinner, slow, medium (standard) and fast and are used depending on the tempreture and conditions your spraying in. if it doesnt say on the tin then its probably medium speed. in very hot tempretures a slow thinner will keep the paint wet longer. and a fast thinner would be used in colder temps to help the paint flash off faster. obviusly there is a lot more to it than that but it would be a fairly big write up.
