Gents I need a set of tyres urgently, got a quote of £500.oo for 4 Toyo's (new Proxys), 17's 255, 40 & 235, 40. 'FITTED'

If anyone know's somewhere that can better this deal, please tell me.....

Not a debate on which tyre brand, just a tyre that is good in the wet will do fine...

Heard good things on the Toyo's... anyone with Toyo experience care to comment please?

Thanks gents.....

Dom

Thanks gents,

The 500 also includes them doing all the work, removing, fitting, balancing etc, back on the car ready to roll..

Ibrar, as soon as you work something out, can you send me a Pm please.. cheers

Also Ibrar as I said, not fussed about tyre branding and all that...just a good 'wet' tyre is fine... So whatever you have 'that's decent' will work great m8....:p

Going by some of the figures quoted on here they've lasted quite well.

Is your Supra front wheel drive or summat?! ;)

Gaz...........maybe it's a special edition or somethingD

Seriously I'm pleased with how long the Toyo's have lasted. To be honest it's only wear on the outside edges of the front's that making me think of replacing them and I guess that's down to tracking/alignment?

.....and I guess that's down to tracking/alignment?

OR, piling it into bends at extremely high speeds with lots of

braking that transfers all the weight to the front-end.........

BUT, nobody does that..... ? ? :p :sly:

DOM, the STD fronts are 235/45's are you getting 40's for a

reason or do they only do that size in the Toyo's ? ?

Steve, not sure to be honest...It could of been 45's...

I just checked the TOYO website and they do both in 235's. 40 and 45.

Check the Pm I sent you.. from that I will let you know Monday what I got(am getting).

As a thought, anyone knows what the advantage or disadvantages of having 40series instead 45 on the fronts with 17's are?

I tried to insert the Toyo link, hope it comes through for you have a look...

Cheers

40's will obviously be lower ride-height and also stiffer (a bit!)

= nearer to speed humps (only a bit!)

I would think slightly sharper steering ?

235 x .45 = 105.75mm

235 x .40 = 94mm

so, ~11mm lower wall height (~1/2") ? ?

= everythings dropped ~1/2"

GOOD ?

BAD ?

Steve.
