love these adds....

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1788827.htm

493, with stock turbos? with an auto box? and another 100BHP shot...

maybe its the : Brand new ROTA GTR 18" Staggered alloys with nearly new rear tyres, and very good condition fronts that makes these figures possiable..

Not even a sign of a boost controller???:search:

I hate seeing ads like this, I feel sorry for the newbie that takes it as gospel and ends up getting screwed over :(

totaly mate! I mean im still pretty new to the supra scene but a year ago id have no reason at all to disbelive everything it says in the add!!

Like that guy that bought an NA but was told is was a TT (but you can tell if you knew anything about cars as the air filter goes striaght into the inlet) but my mum wouldnt know the difference so if your completely new to fast cars you wont know... sorry going off the subject a lil...

Well will be interested in what the reply will be!

if they are too lazy to do some research and learn about what it is that they are buying then I am sorry to say, they have themselves to blame.

i suppose when all you have driven is a Civic or a Focus its easy to get carried away thinking your stock TT is the fastest mofo on the streets, take it to BPU at around the 350 hp mark and you then get carried away into thinking you could take on anything on the road, to think your BPU is "biblicly fast" (was there anything fast in the bible :search:) really is a bit deluded, then quoting 600 hp really is getting into the trades discription act, wonder where he got it dyno'd

Hi Guys, I now own the above car, the dyno graph that he gave me is showing 451BHP at the Flywheel and about 377 ish at the wheels, no idea whether that was on Nitrous? Was dyno'd at Chip Wizards in Rochdale. The graph looks fine, only saying this as i work for Tunit and we have a rolling road here. He was being a bit ambitious with the description, it is a clean car and looks mint once polished. I've seen the other threads about the car on here. I will be getting it dyno'd again though, thats for sure!

I did research this before buying, and saw your posts on here. I was pretty sure it would be nowhere near 500BHP on stock turbos, but the car drives A1 anyway! A sight better than the P1 Impreza that i had before anyway speed wise! Don't suppose any of you could tell me of decent Supra Specialists in the North West? Thanks for all your help Guys! Dan

I thought the stock auto was good for near 600.

I would say no. I ran mine at 500hp and it was starting to slip even with coolers, plus you'll never get over the weak 2nd gear sprang that really won't take lots of power! Also these boxes are getting on a bit as well ;) with some the best part of 16/17 years old!

I have been running my standard auto box with no coolers for nearly a year at 520-550 hp and only a slight oil leak has come of it. Before my car was running 430hp for another 3 years so it does take some hammer.
