VW CADDY VAN 1.9D.....needs some tlc, excellent workhorse/mpg....bargain!

I bought this 99 V reg white caddy van about 3 mths ago and it has been daily driven since without any issues.

Starts up first time every time and give excellent MPG and uses no oil or water.

I bought it because i needed to pick up a engine/box from wales for my m3 and to drive while it my m3 was off the road and also had a few other household jobs to do.

I have done 500+ mile roundtrips in this van with out any problems!

My m3 is back on road now, so have decided to sell it.

I will give a honest description of it below as not to waste your time and mine.

It has 190k miles but engine runs perfect and never misses a beat.

The previous owner was a bit of a vw fanatic and had some cheap but comfortable reclining bucket seats fitted along with a momo? steering wheel and aftermarket ronal alloys.

It also has some new speakers and a jvc face off cd player fitted and a metal cage behind seats to stop bits flyig into front cabin..

Has a folder with recipets and some history/previous mot's etc.

It has tax for 4 months and is mot'd until end of august.

It also has power steering and electric windows but passenger one has come off its rails or something as u can hear the motor working but window doesn't move, drivers is perfect.

The van mechanically is brilliant and overall very good condition and trust it to take me anwhere but as with most vans of this age has a scuff to paintwork on rear bumper corner and a little bit of rust by on rear arch etc.

The windscreen has a small crack approx 4" although doesn't affect driving as it is near where the wipers are and not noticable unless u know its there.

The door locks need attention as they seem to have stiffened up and won't lock or unlock with key.

However it does have central locking and i have the orginal key with remote fob which i was told by previous owner needs programming to van done by any vw specialist for a small cost.

The ignition barrel has been changed at some point so has 2 keys, one for a seperate barrel which can be fitted back in the column if required.

If interested please give me a ring on 07903 921217 and i will give u as much info/detail before u decide to come and view so were both happy.

They seem to be selling for around 1200-1500 in good condition but i will take closest offer to £850 for a quick sale.

I haven't had the time to sort out the little niggly issues as i've been working on my m3 day and night, otherwise would be a totally perfect and reliable van.

Will take some pics soon as i get a chance.

Dammit! Just seen this. I wouldnt have gone to the expense of MOTing my Ashtray van if I knew this was about :(

This ones solid mate and should pass mot again fairly easily.

I have been meaning to advertise it for the past 4 wks but haven't had time and has come in use from time to time when picking up/moving stuff and TBH if it wasn't taking up space on my driveway( where my M3 is parked!) i would just have kept it.

It starts first click everytime and is one of those vans where u never need to check the oil/water even on long journeys!
