rik
Some of you may have seen my thread a few weeks back in the tech forum regarding the crash damaged supe. Well i've bought the beast now, and was tinkering with it earlier, and there seems to be no boost gauge. The car is definately a turbo, because there are turbos. The ID plate sez the car is model JZA 80, with engine 2JZ-GTE. I looked in the F.A.Q's to check the model description, but this car is not listed. It wasn't listed in J.P's buyers guide thingy either. Have I missed something here. Kinda worried now that i've bought some sort of hybrid Frankenstien supra. can anybody shed any light on this? Nic
Only the facelift models had a boost gauge the pre 96 cars didn't.
rik
Nice one Nic. That explains that then. Has any body else got the JZA 80? Everywhere I look its all GZ's AND SZ's.
GeordieSteve
All GZA 80's aren't they? GZ, SZ and RZ are models (hard top and aero top)
Nic
All mkiv Supra (NA & TT) are JZA80, this is the model number of the car and beginning of all the frame numbers on the chassis plate, see HERE for more info.
