David P
I plan to fit the Suprastick ECU to my N/A this weekend, but the workshop manual does not have the auto trans ECU pin out info. It appears that N/A and TT pin out's are the same. Does anyone have a pdf of the A/T ECU pin out's please.

David P
Gav, Cheers for that, I had forgotten you had posted this before. The workshop manual is lacking this info, and does not differenciate between the two, but these diagrams clearly show the N/A has 3 solenoids, and the TT has 5. Thank you. David P
I am half way through wiring in the Suprastick, but still can't find the info I need in that diagram. Does anyone have a pdf of the ECU pin outs that includes the gearbox please.

Looking for the pins on auto n/a for; TPS RPM Brake signal Shift light WOT relay in WOT relay out Shift table Have worked out the others, but stumped on these without the pin out info. David P
Thank's Steve, but have those too, they are the engine pin outs, the gearbox pin outs are the spaces with just lines. Someone somewhere must have this info please.
David P
O.K. Steve, Have found the info on the GTE ECU page Now just stuck on 4 wires. Shift light WOT relay in WOT relay out Shift table Any idea which pins they might be?
Steve
Was about to suggest the GTE section. No idea on those other though... WOT relay in/out - Kick down switch? Edited July 4, 2010 by Steve (see edit history)
David P
The instructions can best be discribed as sh!t, even after translating out the Yankism's. I have wired the WOT to the TPS, all done except the shift light wire, that can stay off. Will give it a 'whirl'
Smallshinyant
Just had a little google for this, sounds interesting, post back how you get on?
David P
There are links to lots about it in 'my car'. It is in. But to set it up I need HyperTerminal, which is proving to be more work than the install
Steve
If you want to take a drive over to Northampton and bring the software on a USB stick I can put it on my little laptop which has Hyper Terminal.

David P
I have left unconnected the wires for 'shift light', 'WOT relay in' and WOT relay out'. Don't have a shift light to connect to and no idea what the WOT relay could be. The Soarer install I am using as reference did not have these wires, so should be O.K. without? Have sent a 'HELP' email to Latent solutions. I have managed to get HyperTerminal installed into my lap top, have connected to the SSV4 serial port with a USB to serial port adaptor, and installed the driver software. But as yet cannot get the laptop and Suprastick to talk to each other? Haven't tried driving the car yet, but it should now work in flappy paddle mode. But sooner get the auto function set up before trying I am running out of I.T. ideas, and in need of a computer whizz kid. JustGav
Confirm what speed the USB-serial needs, USB-serial ports can be a complete nightmare and usually better off using a proper serial card/port....
David P
That sounds a good idea, how do I do that?
Nodalmighty
Sounds like you have a VERY old supra stick. WOT switches were old MA61 TPS device. It was there purely for the Auto to send some binary ttl bit pattern to inform the ECT ecu about load. The MK3 supra ECU simulates this output as it used the same ECT ecu. Mk4 TT Auto completely different ball park. Shift lights and WOT switches don't exist. Shift Table ?????
David P
It's the latest version, SS V4.6 Have tried with old laptop with serial port connection, just get pages of programming? Tried laptop with adaptor and hyperterminal with hardware flow off, but get blank screen.
David P
O.K. I'm in.................:) Now it's question time. How many pulses per revolution for the rpm? Edited July 6, 2010 by David P (see edit history)
David P
The answer is 24 To set this thing up, there is list of technical questions that would be sufficient for a Mk4 pub quiz. After 2 days of mind bending, I will leave it at that today, and have a fresh start with a clear mind tomorrow. David P
It is up and running Flappy paddle gearchange is great fun. The only setting I am not too sure about, is the torque converter stall speed. Have it set at 2,600, which I believe is the T.T. stall speed, I have searched everywhere, yet cannot find this info for the N/A. Does anyone have the correct spec for N/A torque converter stall speed please.
Homer
Just had a look through the service manual, according to the specs the NA and TT have the same stall speed: 2600 +/- 150 rpm. The auto box operation is not split on the service manual, but if you have a copy the specs are on page AT-
David P
Homer, Thank's for the input, it is odd that they have not split the info because there are differences. I have read somewhere on here that the T.T. torque converter is a stronger item that allows the turbos to spool up, so assumed that an N/A would have a lower stall speed?
