ECU pin out info

Recommended Posts

I plan to fit the Suprastick ECU to my N/A this weekend, but the workshop manual does not have the auto trans ECU pin out info. :search:

It appears that N/A and TT pin out's are the same.

Does anyone have a pdf of the A/T ECU pin out's please.

Gav,

Cheers for that, I had forgotten you had posted this before.

The workshop manual is lacking this info, and does not differenciate between the two, but these diagrams clearly show the N/A has 3 solenoids, and the TT has 5.

Thank you.

Steve,

Cheers, but.

I have the same info, but it does not tell me what I need to know.

Looking for the pins on auto n/a for;

TPS

RPM

Brake signal

Shift light

WOT relay in

WOT relay out

Shift table

Have worked out the others, but stumped on these without the pin out info.

I have left unconnected the wires for 'shift light', 'WOT relay in' and WOT relay out'. Don't have a shift light to connect to and no idea what the WOT relay could be. The Soarer install I am using as reference did not have these wires, so should be O.K. without?

Have sent a 'HELP' email to Latent solutions.

I have managed to get HyperTerminal installed into my lap top, have connected to the SSV4 serial port with a USB to serial port adaptor, and installed the driver software.

But as yet cannot get the laptop and Suprastick to talk to each other?

Haven't tried driving the car yet, but it should now work in flappy paddle mode. But sooner get the auto function set up before trying

I am running out of I.T. ideas, and in need of a computer whizz kid.

Sounds like you have a VERY old supra stick. WOT switches were old MA61 TPS device. It was there purely for the Auto to send some binary ttl bit pattern to inform the ECT ecu about load. The MK3 supra ECU simulates this output as it used the same ECT ecu.

Mk4 TT Auto completely different ball park. Shift lights and WOT switches don't exist. Shift Table ?????

It is up and running :)

Flappy paddle gearchange is great fun.

The only setting I am not too sure about, is the torque converter stall speed.

Have it set at 2,600, which I believe is the T.T. stall speed, I have searched everywhere, yet cannot find this info for the N/A.

Does anyone have the correct spec for N/A torque converter stall speed please.

Just had a look through the service manual, according to the specs the NA and TT have the same stall speed: 2600 +/- 150 rpm. The auto box operation is not split on the service manual, but if you have a copy the specs are on page AT-156

Homer,

Thank's for the input, it is odd that they have not split the info because there are differences.

I have read somewhere on here that the T.T. torque converter is a stronger item that allows the turbos to spool up, so assumed that an N/A would have a lower stall speed?
