I don't know the answer on the fitting but why the HKS Kit . You can cheaper coolers that will do the same job, Serab are very popular in the US

A transmission oil cooler? Even mocal ones are available from £30+, although one for the supra would probably be around £80.

Im fitting an 'unbranded' version soon for my auto...hopefully without losing any fluid in the process as i've got £130 worth of new stuff in the gearbox. I think the size i've got will just do the job.

As far as i can tell, its a process of clamping the lines, extending the piping, mounting the cooler somewhere in the front of the car and plumbing it all up. At least i hope its that easy.

john what sort of prices are they and any links of where to buy from?

i have not long had a gearbox oil change too.its always better to run cool.

if you futting 2 coolers where would be best to place them and do you need to fit some sort of temp gauge or is that overkill

thanks

Will let you know when ive found a couple of decent coolers i expect them to be cheap , ive got an aftermarket nosecone coming from paul E im going to fit one in each vent at the side cause ive got a FMIC going in the middle so when you look at the front of the car each opening has a cooler in it , i would say a temp guage is overkill unless you are running a hi-stall converter and line lock in which case it is a must , i will prob change to syn. fluid cause it handles heat a lot better and doesnt break down , keep an eye out for my progress reports when you see a pic of the car with the coolers fitted jog my memory and i will post costs etc .
