Guest brko
Hi I want to change my front and back pads and discs, but I don't know which to get because for pads they are asking for the disk dim. and is it 2 or4 callipers at the front. I have a m reg n/a supra and it's on 17inch wheels. Also where can I get cheap discs and which pads do I get??? Thanks a lot guys
Guest Supra-T
Is it a UK or Jap spec supra?
Guest brko
Sorry It's a import
Guest Supra-T
If it has the standard import brakes then it's 2 pot fronts and 1 pot rears, if it's had the UK brakes fitted then it's got 4 pot fronts and 2 pot rears. Btw mate, if you do a search you will find a lot of this info already covered.
Guest brko
Cheers Also does anyone know where I can buy cheap but good front/back disks
Stonkin
Your probably better off with stock toyota disks mate. Chris Wilson pads are very good and if you havent got braided lines already, have a look into them as they offer a lot more 'feel' in the pedal. Nic
If it has the standard import brakes then it's 2 pot fronts and 1 pot rears Not correct, many J-spec Supras (infact a lot more than UK spec Supras) were factory fitted with the larger 4pot/2pot brakes. Nic
If you can, post up pics of the brakes so we can identify which they are.

Stonkin
Definetly, dont go with ebay type disks mate just because it will save you a small amount. If they end up warping you'll be buying a new set again in no time. Doesnt work out cheaper in the long run
Guest brko
I went to Toyota and they told me that front and back are around £90+ each so around less then £400 . There must be some good quality but a bit cheaper???

There must be some good quality but a bit cheaper??? I would say no mate, toyota designed these disks and pads for a reason and spent millions on R&D. Id use OEM ones, or if you can save and buy UK spec Calipers, disks, pads if you can, other than that. go with OEM ones.
Ian C
I'm not sure how many times you're going to ask "are there better and cheaper ones" in the face of people saying "no, buy OEM" - are you in management at work? If you buy crap off ebay, you aren't allowed to come back here and bitch about them lasting 2000 miles and warping/cracking.
