2 meg ADSL line, can i run real time web cam?

I have just got a 2 meg ADSL line with Zen Internet, after years with a slow connection, here in the sticks. I would like to run a live feed web cam so i can keep an eye on the animals from a mobile phone, when out. Is this possible? Do any long range wireless cams that will also work at night with infra red lights exist? I need a range of about 150 yards to "base". Could wire it, but would be a PITA.

Viewed over the Internet from someone elses PC would it possible to view things seamlessly in real time, with decent quality full screen picture? Or is that expecting too much? Cheers.

2meg is the downstream speed (data to your computer). your upstream (data from your computer) speed will probably be 256k, this will limit your streamed output. 256 will still get you a reasonably smooth but not very big movie (or larger but not very smooth), you will be able to see whats going on but it won't be like at the cimema :)

b&q have all sorts of low cost security stuff [shrug]
