Plumbing Wastegate HELP!!

Hi guys! Iv just had a new single turbo installed as the last one went bang. However both me and my mechanic have been scratching our heads to find out where to plumb a vacuum to the wastegate as the is no vaccum in the turbo itself. Without this plumbed up it will just continue to overboost which is not good :( Is there anyway we can plumb this into in intake manifold??

Any advice would be much appreciated :D

A friend of mine got it connected at the back of the intake manifold,

next to the idle control valve...

Iv looked around the idle control valve but there are a few small pipes i dare not tounch, will it be the one coming directly out the back of the throttle body??

Here is a pic of what i can see:

:yeahthat:

If you dont want to tap the housing pretty much any manifold pressure source from the inlet side will do, its just a pressure source.

Just to follow on from this, it's best practice to have it as close to the compressor as possible (to ensure the solenoid can ract to pressure changes as quickly as possible, hence avoid over boost or surges). It's why nearly everyone taps the compressor. Next best option would be to add a reference on the IC pipe from the compressor.
