Guest Supra-T
I like bees!! Leave them there and use it as an attraction, you have an endangered species living in your loft mate, the possibilities are endless!!
razza
we also have doormice at the bottom of the garden...now they're protected....and cute according to the missus. Have a local beekeeper hopefully coming round tomorrow. £40. He will box them up and needs to take them at least 5miles away otherwise they're return apparently... Can't he a tea towel ove rthe box, so they can't look out the car window and work out where they're going? I don't think dormice are protected? They're pretty common. Stevo
IIRC by late September, all bar the queen will die off anyway. The queen will hibernate and then come spring next year will go off and look for a new nest site.
Rob
Ah, I'm thinking of field mice, of which I removed 4 from my decking, post Supra attack and released them in the wild.

The queen will hibernate and then come spring next year will go off and look for a new nest site. problem is with the weather so hot we have all the windows open and don't want to risk the little 'un getting stung in the night (unlikely but the missus wants it gone). The guy's on his way round, I had a look in the loft and just can't see it though, but it must be there due to the bee activity going into the rafters... Rob
Bees don't come out at night.
razza
He couldn't find the nest, he think's it in the wall cavity, he didn't want to kill them so have to be left where they are. They don't come out at night, but near nightfall they may head for the lights according to beekeeper dude... plus she's going to bed in the daylight at the moment with the windows open.. They'll be gone end of August apparently.
Arbedark
Bees don't come out at night. The Bee that flew into my room at 2am last night apparantly didn't get the memo. He made a right racket too! Maybe he was just coming back from a night out, drunk, and got lost.
