johnny g
I liked the British Sports Car bit - a bit daft, but it was highlighting that we're losing out by not having a (sports) car industry here. We have a Nissan base, Lotus are Malaysian owned, TVR were Russian owned before they said Dasvidania. There's only really Noble flying the flag, and they're built over the world and shipped to Leicester. I think there were a few hidden messages in there and it was quite a nice piece. And the windmill they drove past is the very same one I drive past every day on my home from work! Grr!

Abz
I catched it on BBC iPlayer and have to say the british icon bit was very very good, the end really was emotional and did really shoot home where the car industry in the UK has gone. It was pretty shocking seeing these factories now in ruins & nothing really giving a damn. Lets hope that inspires someone with a lot of money to do something. Wez
What was the point of the new TVR sat there with Clarkson looking at it?
Abz
What was the point of the new TVR sat there with Clarkson looking at it? Maybe to say, bring it back to the UK... we must have some oil rich Scots!
Bobbeh
What was the point of the new TVR sat there with Clarkson looking at it? To show they can still make some half decent cars?? Not sure.. lots of messages in that episode.. good finale to the series I thought

RedM
That modern E-type thing. Utterly beautiful and proof positive that all the power and speed in the world will never trump pure emotion.

Abz
As stunning as the new jag looked, not worth £500,000! I'd rather have the old E Type Jag, a Ferrari F430, Gallardo, R35 GTR & a second hand Bentley GT for the £500,000! Do these companies now just dream these numbers up or has inflation hit a high that nobody knows about.
stevie_b
Gah why do they do the star in the car bit! Is it a car show or a chat show!? Chat show. It's been a chat show for several years now.

I dunno why they don't lower the price and sell 5000 of them and still cover costs over the long run. I'm sure plenty of people would pay 80k for one
