Zed
Just fitted my KYB AGX suspension at the weekend. As they are adjustable shocks I will be leaving off the thin metal covers that go over the topmounts. Does anyone know the purpose of these, are they to reduce noise or something ? Cheers dudes. normore1
As Chris said they just provide an extra barrier from the exterior to interior. Drill a hole (~1/2") in the top of the covers and you can access the adjusters. I drilled the holes and put a plastic panel plug in mine so I can access if needed and still keep the seal. Zed
Cheers for the reply guys. Normore, what springs do you use with your shocks and how do you find them. Is the differnece between settings quite obvious, haven't had a chance to experiment yet.
normore1
I am using stock springs. I have the fronts set to 2 and the rears at 1. The roads around here are pretty rough and this shock setting is close to stock firmness so a not bad compromise. derek
